A wonderful delight for adventure lovers is Nag Tibba Trek or the trek to the Serpent’s peak through thick jungles and meadows from all over the world since it showcases the best serenity and exciting trek route. Serpent peak is the literally meaning of Nag Tibba. The highest peak in the lower Himalayas of the Gharwal region is Nag Tibba, above sea level it is located at an elevation of 3050m. Nag Tibba Trek mentioned as ‘A classic trek in the Vicinity of Mussoorie’. One of the three principle ranges of the lower Himalayas is Nag Tibba range. “The queen of the hill” Mussoorie can be covered with a couple of days added to the trek, enters the grove of Oak and Rhododendron.
While winter comes with abundance of snow you will be greeted with summer blossoms and greenery in warmer time on this path. You can mark out Chanabang, Bandarpoonch and Kedarnath from the high point of Nag Tibba all snow peaks of the Gharwal Himalayas. This trek provides some of the best camping locations and best trek for adventure lovers. One of the easiest treks is Nag Tibba in India. You can see the clear view of stunning Bandarpoonch peaks, Doonvalley, Kedarnath peak in the north, the snow peak of Chanabang and the Gangotri group of peaks from Nag Tibba.
They will give you the refreshing environment to make your tiredness and you will welcome warmly to some quaint villages and extraordinary beauty of Deodar forests. Before reaching the peak one will find the rich flora and fauna in the forests are the main attraction that keep trekkers come back to attend the beauty. During spring and summer this place is a best place for camping and also relaxing trek. Owing to heavy snow most of the treks are closed. You descend down a contrasting landscape will be visible from the summit.
Day 01: Dehradun to Pantwari Village
In the morning, from Dehradun railway station we will pick up you around 7am. From Panthwali village it is the shortest route to reach Nag Tibba. A midpoint of the trek there is water source. You will find these stretches in a wave of unique shades in green and yellow during the harvest season. You will come across ‘Goat Village’ before reaching the ridge connecting the Panthwari side of the hills with Nag Tibba. Goat village is an interesting resort. Stay overnight at camp.
Day 02: Nag Tibba top – return to Panthwali Village and Panthwari to Dehradun
It’s a long day ahead. The base of Nag Tibba hill marking on the Nag Tibba Temple is located on the third clearing that we find on this trail. The Gharwal Himalaya peaks meet the eye on a clear sky day from here. Become a little challenge to locate the trail which is otherwise well defined, in the winters enveloping the path with snow. Visible on the reverse side on the mountain, from here one possible route of descending is a trail passing through Devalsari village.

By Road: From Delhi ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Dehradun regular bus service is available here.
By Train: The nearest railway station is Dehradun. It is located at 33km.
By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. From the airport head to Mussoorie is located 60km.
