One of the Panch Kedars is Tungnath of Garhwal. From Tungnath, arrive at the summit of Chandrashila Peak after a kilometer long walk at about 4000m. Day 01: Haridwar – Sari
From Haridwar the base camp is located in Rudraprayag district is almost an 8 hour drive. For trekkers campsites, guest house and home stays are available here. The ride will entail surpassing the holy towns of Rudraprayag, Rishikesh and Devprayag and meandering by the Alaknanda Ganga rivers till you enter the Mandakini Valley. For the next few days’ trekking journey take a short hike to practice and reach Kund by evening. Glorious view surrounded the village. For the night camp here in the logde. The drive turns uphill as take in the beautiful vista of lower Gharwal Himalayas. In the choppy waters of Ganga adventure sports and immersing in culture activities you can spend your time in Rishikesh.
Day 02: Sari – Deoria Tal
From the lodge through cozy hamlets and the Temple township of Ukhimath set off on a trekking journey, after breakfast. You will come across village houses and an old local Temple after 15 minutes approx. From here take the beautiful view of vast farmlands. A speck of color is a Tungnath Temple and clearly visible from where the Chandrashila Summit, a well defined rocky trail will show you to the end. In the background of the Lake a grand vista of Chaukhamba massifs is unveiled.
Day 03: Deoria Tal – Chopta
From the guest house of forest walks look for a small clearing exit the forests, after 15 minutes. The Chandrashila peak is visible in front of you. Red and Pink is the two prominent varieties of rhododendrons. You will pass through the mixed forests of pines, Rhododendrons and oaks. We are directly ushered up an ascending path towards Chopta and Rohgini Bugyal and after crossing a clearing in the forest lined with scarlet blossoms. You can move on taking a small wooden brigde on the stream.
Day 04: Chopta – Tungnath – Chandrashila peak
Today, early morning we commence the hike. From Chopta the trek runs on a well defined concrete- bound trail to the Temple. You will also get a clear vision of a connecting peak from here to Chandrashila. Get enchanted by the peaks of Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi and Trishul from the peak.
Day 05: Chopta – Haridwar
Through the spiritual township of the Rishikesh upon complection of rafting, depart for Haridwar. Here, your trek comes to an end.

By Bus: From ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Haridwar regular bus service is available here. Usually you drop at Haridwar bus station by bus.
By Train: Haridwar to other important cities like Lucknow, Mumbai, Kolkata, Mussoorie, Varanasi and Delhi are well connected by rail networks.
By Air: From the Haridwar, the Airport serving Dehradun is Jolly Grant Airport located 48km.
