Valley of Flowers is an National Park located in West Himalayan of camoli district of Uttarakhand state and known as "The Heaven on earth". The place is descoverd in 1931 as UNESCO World Heritage Site. Valley of Flowers is discovered by Mountaineer Frank S.Smith. This valley is situated in western himalayan with at an altitude of 3600m above the sea level. The valley is famous for hundred of Himalayan flowers including dozens of rare Himalayan flower species. The species of flowers who find here, which you don't find anywhere. During the winter season the valley is freezing. The place is covered with an area of 87.50 sq kms. By trekking tourist can reach easily valley of Flowers. Now a motorable bridge has been operational in Govindgaht which connect the 4 km ahead twoards the valley. It is a beautiful destination attract thousamd of tourist. The valley is accessible from june, july and August. During these month the wather is plesent and flowers also full of bloom. The valley of flowers is declared as a National Park in september 1982 and added in the list of World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.
valley of Flowers is the second core zone of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve Blessed with numerioys waterfalls and Silvery Glaciers. Ghangaria is the last Human Habitation centre on the way to Valley Of Flowers and situated at a distance of 13 km from Govindghat at an elevation of 3046 mts above the sea level. Valley of flowers is the home of over 500 species of wild flowers with unique designe and colour.
It is also a ideal trekking point for trekkers, One can enjoy the beautiful experience. The treak towords the valley of flowers begins at GovindGhat or Pulna. The Zig-Zag Mule track straingtens through an ascending valley of Terraced fields and Vegetation. The treak become more exciting after Pulna Village- The laxman Ganga becomes swifter and between the green, rocky Mountains, You Can catch a glimpse of Snow Clad Peaks.
In May: The valley of flower accessible in the last week of May when snow starts. During the may month you can see a lot of snow but very less numbers of flowers.
In June: In the month of june a lot of pilgrims for Shri Hemkund Sahib are visit. This is good time for visiting you can enjoy the beautiful glaciers and waterfall in the valley. It is the biggest benefit in this month is that there is no rain or very less.
In July And August: In the mid of july you can see a lot of flowers blooming . You can find 650 varietirs of flowers in Valley of flower. This is the best time to visit in valley of flower is mid july to mid August.
In September: September is the last month for visiting valley. The plants starts drying up and put there seeda on the earth.
The maximum temprature is 17 degree during the June to October. In the month of November to May the temprature is fall down up to 7 degree.
July to october is the best time to visit in valley of flower.
Valley of flowers National Park: This valley is one of the beauty of the place and famous for its various species of flowers blooming. You can enjoy the surrounding of the valley. Joshimath is last point of road to connect the valley of flowers. You can take 16 km trek to reach valley of flower from Govind ghat.
Hemkund Sahib: Hemkund Sahib is the most popular destination among the sikhs. Thousand of devotees can visit the Hemkund Sahib. It is located at an altitude of 4329 meters above the sea level. It is the holiest place for sikhs with lake of snow crystel clear water of th elake make the place beautiful.
Nanda Devi National Park: Nanda devi National park is famous for himalayan snow leopard is the main attraction of Park. The park is also popular for its medicinal plants and herbs. Nanda Devi Peak is the one of the highest peaks of the world. Nanda Devi Naational Park has been declared as world Heritage sight.
Govindghat: It is the beginning point of trek to Hemkun Sahib and valley of flowers. The place is 22 km away from joshimath. It is situated at a confluence of Alaknanda and Laxman Ganga River. From Govind Ghat to take an easy trek of 16 km to reach Valley of flowers.
Joshimath: Joshimath is the winter home of Sri BadriNath ji. The Palki of Sri Badrinath ji is shifted here during the Winter season. Joshimath is connected with Auli By highest cable cat of Asia's. It is situated at an elevation of 1890 meters above the sea level. Joshimath is situated 26 km before GovindGhat.
Mana: Mana is one of the last village of India and very close to Tibet border. If you can visit the Badrinth Dham see the end of the road at Mana. Village Mana is situated at a distance of 3 km from Badrinath and 24 km from Govind Ghat. Bheem pul, Vyas Gufa and Ganesh Gufa are interesting place in Mana.
Auli: Most popular skiing destination in India, Situated at a distence of 40 kms from Govindghat at an elevation of 2010 mts above the sea level. Asia's Highest and longest cable car is situated in Auli and well connected to Joshimath. Offered the glorious views of the enchanting snow capped peaks of Himalayan. It is the commencement trek To Valley of Flowers. Auli will be Hosting SAF winter game 2010.

By Air: Jolly Grand Airport is the nearest Airport to Valley of Flowers. Roads are only connected upto Govind Ghat. You can take 16 km trek to reach Valley of Flower from Govindghat. The Airport is situated at a distance of 292 kms from valley of flowers. Jolly Grand Airport is well connected to Delhi with daily flights. You can reach only upto Govind Ghat by road from the airport. Taxis and buses are easily available to Govindghat from Airport.
By Train: Rishikesh is the nerarest railway station to valley of flowers. It is situated at a distance of 273 km from Govind Ghat. Roads are only connected upto Govindgaht. Take 16 km trek from Govind Ghat to Valley of Flowers. Rishikesh is well connected by major railway Networks with major destination of india. Taxis are available from Rishikesh and Srinagar to Govindghat.
By Road: The place, valley of flower only connecting upto Govindgaht with motorable road. Govind ghat is the last point of road to reach Valley of flower. Buses are easily available from ISBT Kashmiri gate to Rishikesh and Srinagar. Govind gahat is situated on National Highway.
