Purnagiri Temple: Purnagiri Temple is situated 21 km from Tanakpur. The temple is known as a shakti peeths and this shakti peeths is one of the 108 peeths. Shyamlatal: Shyamla tal is a beautifull lake located at a distance of 30 km from Tanakpur. The Lake is get its name of Lord Krishna. The blackish color of lake is due to its muddy water. The lake is situated at an elevation of 1500 mts above the sea level. This lake is covered an area of more than 1.5 sq km. Swami Vivekanand Ashram is located on the bank of Shyamaltal and surrounding with greenery and peaceful environment.
