Srinagar is a beautiful city located in Pauri Garhwal District of Uttarakhand state. It is one of the majestic hill station and lies on the bank of Alaknanda River. Srinagar is a historical Town and received its name from Sri Yantra, an evil and nythical giant rock. It is believed that anyone who set his eyes on the rock would die immediately. The charming town is an important Tourists attraction for its natural beauty and several Temples.
The most important temple is Kamleshwar Mahadev Temple dedicated to lord Shiva and the other temple is Kilkileshwar Mahadev temple lies on the bank of Alaknanda River. These temples were created by Adi Guru Shankracharaya. The Dhari Devi Tenple is situated at a distance of 19 kms from Srinagar and the idol of the goddess is kept under the open sky. Baikunath Chaturdashi mela holes an importance among the Devotees and one of the most popular fair held in th emonth of October and November.
Srinagar is located at a distance of 30 km from puri at an elevation of 580 mts above the sea level. One of the most famous Garhwal University is situated in Srinagar. It is spread an area about 9.695 sq km and one of the biggest town of the district. According to the legend it is believed that the place got its name from Srixantra chunk where people sacrificed to death to satisfy the heavenly Power. This killing convention was stoped by the Adi Guru Shankracharay and throw the chunk into the water of Alaknanda River.

Winter Season: October is the beagining month of Winter here to till the end of March. The maximum temprature is 0 degree and minimum is 15 degree during the winter season. One can enjoy the snow at this time. Srinagar is converted into a white sheet of Snow During the winter season.
Dhari Devi Temple: Situated at a distance of 14.2 kms from Srinagar and lies on the bank of Alaknanda River. The religious temple is located in between Srinagar and Rudraprayag on Badrinath Road. According to the legend the upper part of Goddess kali is here and the lower part in kalimath. Dhari Devi idol shall not be put under any roof.
Maletha: It is a small village but famous for Historical Place, located near Srinagar. The village is situated at a distance of 5 kms from Srinagar on Devprayag Road. The village is known as the bravery of Madho Singh Bhandari. Madho Singh Bhandari is well known for its bravery, he spend his ful life for the people of Maletha. The boundery between India and Tibet drew bt the Madho Singh Bhandari and at persent it is well known as the Mac-Mohan Line.
Gola Bazaar: Gola Market located in Srinagar Garhwal and one of the cool destination. This market is well known for Army Shoping items full-fill the need of all groups of Ages. One can easily find Traditional Garhwal Items at this market. There is no big market so the Gola Bazar is the first choice of all.
Kirtinagar: Situated at a distance of 4 km from Srinagar and lies on the bank of Holy River Alaknanda. It is a small town located in tehri garhwal. Kirtinagar is well connected to Motorable Road.
Kamleshwar Temple: Kamleshwatr Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and lies on the bank of Alaknanda River. According to the legend Lord Rama offered one of his eye to Lord Shiva in place of a lost lotus flower.The temple is one of Five Maheshwara peeth located in Himalayan.
HBN Garhwal University: The full name is Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, establieshed in 1973. The university offeres all kind of courses like Arts, Commerce, Management, Low, Engineering, Tourism, History, Science, Archeology, Pharmacy and Agriculture. The ubniversity has a library contain over the 2,00,000 books and literacy rate of Uttarakhand is 72% more than the Literacy rate India in combined.
Keshorai Math: Keshorai Math is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and the temple built by Kesho Rai in 1682. According to the legend Once Kesho rai visit the of Badrinath he feel tired by walking for a long distance and he planned to sleep at this place than in his dream Vishnu ji appared and asked dig the place where he sleep than he started digging and found a idol of Lord Vishnu. Then Kesho Rai cunstructed a temple here and named Keshorai Math.
Vishnu Mohini Temple: Vishnu Mohini Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Laxmi and not far from the Srinagar market.
Kilkileshwar Mahadev Temple: This templ is dedicated to Lord Shiva and lies on the bank of Alaknanda River. The templs was built by the Adi Guru Sankracharya and named Kilkileshwar Mahadev Temple.
Develgarh: Situated at a distance of 20 kms from Srinagar. DevalGarh is a small town, recognized by the Famou king of Kangra king Deval. The place got its name after the name of King Deval. The major attraction of the place are Rajeshwari Temple, Gauri Devi Temple and Lakshmi Narayan Temple.
Shankar Math: Shankar Math is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Maa Lakshmi and built by Adi Guru Shankracharya. Located at a distance of 2 kms from Srinagar.
Pauri Garhwal: Puri is situated at a distance of 15 km from Khirsu and khirsu is situated in puri Garhwal districts aith at an elevation of 1814 mts above the sea level. puri is located on the northwest slope of kanodiya hills. Most of the location in Puri offered the panoramic views of the glorious Snow capped peaks of the himalayan Range.
Devprayag: confluence of the two sacred Holy Rivers Bhagirath and Alaknanda making the water holier with formation of Ganga River. Devprayag is one of the five confluence of Alaknanda river. It is situated at a distance of 62 kms from Pauri at an elevation of 472 mts above the sea level lies on the confluence of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi River and home of the pundits of Badrinath.
Rudraprayag: It is known as the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini River. Rudra is one of the 108 name of Lord shiva. The road to Kedarnath Dhan and Badrinath Dham is pass through Rudraprayag. situated at a distance of 54 kms from pauri.
New Tehri: New Tehri is a charming town located in Uttarakhand state and a planned town, constructed when the Tehri dan was built. The old Tehri was under the water now and new Tehri is constructed. Tehri Dam was the major attraction of the town and thousand of the tourists visit the place to see the Dam. The town New Tehri is well connected to the motorable road. Situated at a distance of 88 kms from puri and offered good facilities of Accommodation.
