About Rajaji National Park

Rajaji National Park is located in Dehradun, Haridwar and Pauri Garhwal Districts of Uttarakhand State. This natinal park is spread an area of 820 Square kilometers. Rajaji National park has highest number of Elephant than the other National parks of Uttarakhand. you can see here the amimal like -Tiger, leopard, Monkey, Barking deer, Sambar deer, wild boar, nilgai and Goral. The park has contain more than 400 birds species. Ganga River is important sourse of Water of Raja ji National Park. The River is flow 24km in the park. This is the perfact place for amazing opportunaty to nature lovers to enjoy the beauty of the place. you can see here the migratory birds that they cross the Himalayas to enter india. The Himalayan Pride Kingfishre, fire tailed sunbird and great pied Hornbill are residence here. Raja ji sanctuary was established in 1948, Motichur Sanctuary is established in 1964 and Chill sanctuary is established in 1977. Then Government decided that these three sanctuary was merged. Then new name of sanctuary is Rajaji National Park. March and April is the spring time in Rajaji national Park. During this period wather is soo cool and these month are spring season With the temprature is 15 degree to 25 degree. The timings of the jungle safari is divided into two Parts morning time is 6 Am to 10 Am and second is 2 Pm to 6 Pm. Entery fee is must to enter the Rajaji National Park.
Rajaji National park rich in flora and fauna, one can see easily plants like Shorea, Mallotus, Adina, Terminalia, Bridelia, Dalberhia, Acacia etc. The park contains Tropical and subtropical forest. The park is surrounding with the Green Forest all around and the environment froms a habitat of Animals. The wild species foud here like Asian Elephant, Bengal Tigers, Leopard, Jungle cat Goral Indian Hare, Sloth Bear, Himalayan Black bear, King Cobta, Jackal, Wild boar, Indian Lngur, Monitor Lizard, Pythom etc.

Weather of Rajaji National Park

Summer season: The month of March is the beginning of summer to till the end of june. The maximum temprature is 38 degree celcius to minimum is 12 degree celcius. Summer is the best time for Elephant Ride in the park. The park is open 15 November to till 15 june every year.

Winter Season: November is the starting month of winter to till the month of February. Winters are pleasent and cool climate. The maximum Temprature is 22 degree celcius and minimum is 12 degree celcius.

Monsoon Sesaon: Monsoon season starts from July to till September. Durung the month of Monsoon the place Dehradun received medium amount of rainfall. Rajaji National Park is become more beautiful during the Monsoon season.

Best Season to Visit here is from October to June.
