Patal Bhuvaneshwar is a stone temple in form of cave and located in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. This temple is located in Village Bhuvneshwar and dedicated to lord Shiva. This cave is 160 meter long and 90 feet deep. It is believed that worship of Patal Bhuvneshwar is equivalent to worshiip of Chardham. This temple is one of the mysterious place of Uttarakhand. It is situated at an elevation of 1350 meters above the sea level. This mysterious cave is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Famous temple is situated 13 km from Gangolihat. You Can find here Lord Shiva in form of Sheshnag, kal Bhiarav, Ganesha , Maa Parvati and other several gods can be seen in the cave of Patal Bhuvneshwar. It is believed that the cave is home of 33 crore Gods and Goddess. At Preasent you can sea the tongue of Kali Bhairav, Hairs of Lord Shiva and other wonder formed on the rocks, found in Patal Bhuvneshwar cave. The Temple is situated near at the confluence of Ramganga, Sarayu and Gupt-Ganga. This cave is discovered by Raja Ritupurna ruling ayodhya in the Treta yuga. It is believed that the cave has an Underground route to Mount Kailesh. Winter Season: October is the beginning month of winter to till the month of February. The maximum temprature is 25 degree and minimum temprature is 4 degree. During the Winter season wather is extremly cool with strong winds.
Monsoon Season: July is the starting of monsoon to till the month of September. The post Monsoon month of October and November are pleasent wather and good time to visit.
