Khirsu is a sleepy and peacefull hill village with lots of Greenery. The place Khirsu spred an area of 5.2 sq killometers with at a height of 1890 m above the sea level. Kharsil is situated at a distance of 51 km from Almora. Khirsu is the birth place of famous hindi poet Sumitra Nandan Pant. Mahatma Gandhi stayed here for 14 days at Anakashi Ashram. Best time to visit in summer season April to June and again September to November is the best time to visit. Khirsu is become a major tourists destination. Khirsu is surrounded by Oak, Deodra trees and Apple orchards. It is located in the Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand state. The place khirsu is present panoramic view of Himalayan Range. Temple of Ghandiyal devi is famous destination for all hindu devotees. Khirsu is a part of pauri Garwal District thus make it a beautifull location.
Summer Season: April is the beginning month of summer season and till the month of june. The maximum temprature is 45 degree and the minimum temprature is 29 degree. Summer is the best time to visit the hill station.

Tara Kund: Tara kund is the highest spot in puri and is situated at an elevation of around 2250 meters above the sea level. The amazing presence of an ancient temple and fresh water pool makes this place a perfact place for the tourists.
Jwalpa Devi Temple: This temple is situated in Khirsu and 34 km from pauri. The temple is a pilgrim site which lies on the main Pauri-Kotdwar road. A special festival held on the days of Navratras.
Deval Garh: Deval Garh is situated around 15 km from Khirsu. This temple is a main attraction for tourists visiting Khirsu. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Raj Rajeshwai.
Pauri Garhwal: Situated at a distance of 15 km from Khirsu at an elevation of 1841 mts above the sea level. The town of the pauri Garhwal lies on the Northwest slopes of Kandoliya hills. Diverse in topography and filled with place of tourist's interset, most of the location in pauri Offered the invigoration view of the majestic snow -capped peaks of Himalayan range.
Dhari Devi Mandir: Dhari Devi Temple is dedicated to Goddess kali and is the considered to be the protector of the Char Dham. The Sacred Temple is situated on the bank of Alaknanada River with a distance of 35 kms from Khirsu. One can take an 1 km trek from the road to reach the Dhari Devi Temple.
Rudraprayag: It is situated on the bank of two river of Alakhnanda and Mandakini. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch prayag or Five confluences of Alaknanda. The place is get its own named after Lord Shiva. It is situated at a distance of 34 km from Srinagar. The main temple is Jagdamba Temple and Shiva Temple. The Koteshwar temple can be see on the bank of Alakhnanda River. It is one of the popular destination among the pilgrims. Every year Rudraprayag is visited by thousand of tourist for ChardhaM. It is one of 108 names of Lord Shiva.
Adwani: Adwani is a beautiful and famous picnic spot surrounding by Thick fOrest and mountains. This place is very cold compared to nearby places. Adwani is well connected to Khirsu with at a distance of 32 km by road. Ranighar is just 1 km from Adwani with at an elevation of 7200 ft above the sea level. Adeshwar Mahadev Temple is situated in Ranighar, dedicated to Lord Shiva. The place is also rich in Ayruvedic herbs and plants.
Devprayag: Devprayag is a confluence of the two holy rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi making the water holier with the firmation of Ganga River. Situated at a distance of 62 km from Puri with at an elevation of 427 mts above the sea level.
Srinagar: Srinagar is located in the puri Gharwal District at an elevation of 579 mts above the sea level. It was the ancient capital city of Garhwal region. Situared at a distance of 18km from Puri and lies on the bank of Holy Alaknanda River. Garhwal university has recently become centrally recognized which has taken Srinagar town at a higher level as the university is situated in Srinagar.
Lansdowne: Lansdowne is a hill station and well connected with motorable road. Situated at a distance of 93km from Khirsu at an elevation of 1700 mts above the sea level. Surrounding with thick Oak and Blue pine forest. Contonment area of the Garhwal Rifles of Indian Army and therefore there are limited hotels at this place.
