Jageshwar is a town situated at an elevation of 1870 mts above the sea level and famous for Jageshwar temple is dedicated to Lord shiva and it is one of the oldest shiva temple in india. Jageshwar temple located 36 km northest of Almora district in kumaun region of Uttrakhand state. Jageshwar is an important tourist destination of Kumaon and thousand of the Devotees visit every year.

The main temple of Jugeshwar are - Dandeshwar Temple, Mritunjaya Temple, Chandi-ka- temple, Kuber Temple, Nau Durga Temple, Surya Temple, Nava- grah Temple, Jageshwar Temple. Dandeshwar Temple is the biggest temple and Mritunjaya Temple is the oldest temple.Adi Shankaracharya found thetemple in 9th century and renovated and re-established many temples.
Jageshwar temple has Nagesh Jyotirling this is one of twelfth jyotirling situated here. jageshwar town celebrate two main fastival, one of Jageshwar Monsoon Festival which is held during the month of August and second is Shivarathri Mela, this fastival held during the spring season. Mirtola Ashram: Mirtola is known as "Uttar Vrindavan" and 19 km from Almora. this is a Ashram situated by A House wife Sri Yashoda Maa. The place is also known as Radha - Krishna Temple bulit in 1931 by Sri Yashoda Maa.
Jageshwar Mahadev: Jageshwar Mahadev is a hindu pilgrimage site and famous for Nagesh Jyotirling is situated in the temple. This temple is dedicated to Lord shiva.
Sri Mahamritunjaya Mahadev: This temple is the largest and oldest temple in the town. The temple is eastern facing and a unique linga an eye shaped opening. It is believed that reciting the Maha Mritunjaya Mantra is an auspicious and powerful method of self realization. It helps in the removal of evil effects, and gives freedom from all kinds of Fears.
Vriddha Jageshwar: Situated at a distance of 6.5 km from Jageshwar. This temple is about 3 km from Uphill Jageshwar called the old shiva Tempel. Jageshwar is a hindu pilgrimage site located in Almora District.
Lakulisha: Lakulisha is the last avatar of Lord Shiva. He was one of the earliest teachers of Pasupata Philosophy. A small shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva and name literally means the lord shiva. It is just a small Shivling, for nothing much remains of the Original Deity.

Dandeshwar Temple: Situated at a distance of 2 km from Jageshwar and 200 mts from Artola village from where temples of Jageshwar Starts. This place is lies between Jhanker Saim Tempel, Vridhh Jageshwar and Koteshwar Temples.
Chital Temple or Gollu Devta Temple: Chital Temples is dedicated to Gollu Devta and Situated 29 kms from Jageshwar the deity of this sacred temple is reputed to make every wish come true. Provided the worshipper ask forr it with a clear conscience all he asks in return is a bell which is to be tied to the premises of the Temple.
Kasar Devi Temple: This temple is located in Kasar Village and dedicated to kasar devi. located on the top of the hills, one can easily reach by 8 km of hike and 10 km by road from Almora. It is popular as Hippie Hill as it was a popular destination. Tourist visit the kansar to watch the sunset overlooking the kosi valley.
Kausani: Situated at a distance of 84 km from Jageshwar with at an elevation of 1890 mts above the sea level. Kausani is the one of the most popular hill stataion offered the charming views of the majestics snow capped Himalayans.
Binsar: Binsar is a beautiful small town and famous for its famous temple Bineswar dedicated to Lord Shiva. Situated just about 54 km from Jageshwar With at an elevation of 2412 mts above the sea level. The tempel is constructed by the king kalyan of the Chand Dynasty. One can see the amazing view of the Chaukhamba Peak, Panchchuli Peak, Nanda Devi, Nanda Kot, Kedarnath and other peaks are present the glorious viwes of the Himalayan.
Ranikhet: It is the home of the Kumaon Regiment and Naga Regiment of Indian Army and is a hill station located in Almora District. Situated at a distance of 83 km from Jageshwar.
Almora: Known as the Cultural capital of Kumaon Region, located at an elevation of o1638 mts above the sea level. Surrounding by the Oaks and pines trees. Golu Devta temple and Nanda Devi Temple are the famous temple of Almora. Almora is also a good shopping center. Situated at a distance of 37 km from Almora.
