Gangolihat is a small hill station in Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand state with at an elevation of 1760 meters above the sea level. Gangolihat is famous for Shakti peeth dedicated to Goddess kali. The town is surrounding by two main Rivers are Saryu and Ramganga. Gangolihat is a very small town located near by important tourist spots like as patal Bhuveneshwar, Binsar and Abott mount. The place is also known as ancient temples like -Haat Kalika, Ambika Dewaal, Chamunda Mandir and Vaishnavi Mandir. The place is loved by all Devotees and Travlers. It is a wonderful place offered wide view of the Himalayan such as Panchauli and Kailash. Patal Bhuvneshwar is the famous location near by Gangolihat. Gangolihat is a wonderful location located 82 km from pithoraghar. "Haat Kalika Mandir" is the most visited temple dedicated to goddess Maa kali and this temple is very famous all over india. Gangolihat is a place where Panchchuli and Nanda Devi peak is clearly visiable.
Summer season: March is the starting month of summer season to till the end of june. Summer is not very hot and not very cool but pleasent wather during the Summer season. The maximum temprature is 36 degree amd minimum is 19 degree during the summer season. The hotest month is may all around the year.
Winter season: October is the beginning month of Winter to till the month of February. During the winter season the maximum temprature is 25 degree and minimum is 4 degree.
Monsoon season: July is the starting month of monsoon in Gangolihat to till September. During the month the place is get rainfall from the south west.
Best time to visit in Gangolihat from February, march and April and then the September and October. The temprature is very comfortable in these months, pleasent wather no rain and no chilly winds during these months.
Mahakali Temple: Mahakali Temple is an old temple in Gangoliha. The temple is located near Chaukori. It is a oldest temple of hindus and famous for as a Shakti Peeth. Founder of the famous Shakti Peeth was Adi Guru Sankracharya. The temple is also known as Haat Kalika Mandir. Haat Kalika Temple is dedicated to Goddess Maa Kali.
Gangolihat Fort: Gangolihat fort is the major attraction among the tourist. It is a hill top location and was built in 1789 by the Gorkhas. The forest was also called the London Fort by Britishers. This fort offered magical view of Surrounding of Dens forest.
Patal Bhuvaneshwar Temple: Patal Bhuvneshwar is a famous temple in Gangolihat. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is 14 km from Gangolihat. Bhuvneshwar is a beautiful underground cave temple. This temple is also the major atteaction among the devotees.
Chaukori: Chakouri is the perfact tourist destinatin among the tourist. The place is full of panaromic view of snow capped Himalayan peak in Gangolihat. Chakori is situated at a distance of 42 km from Gangolihat with at an altitude of 2010 meters above the sea level. This place is also famous for tea garden and Orchards.
Munsiyari: Munsiyari is situated at a distance of 124 km from Gangolihat. It is the base camp of track route of Milam Glacier and Namik Glacier. The place Munsiyari is also famous for Munsiyari Bugyal, an Alpine Meadow. Alpine lake of Maheshwari kund and Thamri kund are located Munsiyari. This Valley Munsiyari to milam is known as Johar Valley.
Berinag: It is a small town and famous for natural beauty and Tea Gardens. Berinag is situated at an elevation of 2010 meters above the sea level. It is a place where Himalayan snow clad peaks can be viewed. The place has many nag temples and other attraction for tourist Tripura devi temple, Cave Temple of Koteshwar, Garaun waterfalls and Musk Deer farm at Kotmanya.
