Champawat is a sall town and Nagar Palika located in Champawat district of Uttarakhand state. It is located at an elevation of 1670 meters above the sea level.

Baleshwar Temple: Baleshwar temple is oldest temple in Champawat. This temple is dedicated to Lord shiva and built around 10th century AD by the roulers of Chand Dynsaty. The two major temple are one of dedicated to Ratneshwar while the other is dedicated to Goddess Durga.
Kranteshwar Mahadev Temple: The temple complex is made of stones. It is situated at a distance of 6 km from the Champawat. This temple is localy known as the Kandev or kurmapad temple. The Temple is located at a hilltop of 6000 meters above the sea level.
Patal Rudreshwar: Patal Rudreshwar is a cave where Lord Shiva did meditation to attain salvation. This cave is discovered in 1993 and it is 40 meters long and 18 meters wide. It is believe that Ma Durga appeared in the dreams of a villager and told him about the Patal Rudreshwar.
Mayawati Ashram: Mayawati Ashram is located about 9km from Lohaghat. It is an other attraction in Champawati. This Ashram is popular tourist and pilgrimage destination and also offeres the scenic beauty. A library and a museum are found inside the Ashram.
Nagnath Temple: The Nagnath temple is is dedicated to lord shiva. It is the oldest temple in Champawat. The temple was built by Guru Gorakhnath and Temple has been restored and spots a very intricately carved wooden doorway of 18th centuary. Situated at a distance of half km from Champawat.
Ek Hathiya ka Naula: This is a temple dedicated to lord Shiva located in Champawati. This is believe that the temple built by an Artist who had only one hand and complete it over a single night.
Golu Devta Temple: This Temple is dedicated to Golu Devta known as the God Of Justice. Large numbers of Devotees Visit the Temple to seek the deity's blessing in their life. Situated about a distance od 4 km from Champawat.
Abbott Mount Church: The church was built in 1942 with at an elevation of 6400 feet above the sea level. Situated at a distance of 10 km from Abbott mount. The church remain closed for Tourists and Prayaer are only held once or twice a year.
Banasur Ka Kila: This killa is built in the memory of Banasur and situated just about 7 km from Champawat. The lover of Ancient India Architecture must visit this fort which has been standing tall since ages.
Devidhura: Situated at a distance of 45 km from Champawat offered the bounteousness of nature and its pristine beauty. Varahi Temple is famous here which holdes great importance among the locals. The Famous jim corbett is associated with the Devidhura Temple and also offers ample trekking Activities.
Pithoragarh: Pithoragarh is known as the "Little Kashmir" surrounding by Nepal to the east and tibet to the north. Situated at a distance of 72 kms from Champawat with at an elevation of 1650 mts above the sea level. From this region pilgrims begin their journey to the holiest shrine of Mansarover and Kailash. Shyamlatal: Situated at a distance of 56 km from Champawat with at an elevation of 1500 mts above the sea level. It is a beautiful lake and there is a Swami Vivekanand Ashram on the bank of Shyamla tal. A famous fair of Kumaon region "Jhula" is held at this place.
Abbott Mount: This quite hill stataion is covered with snow during the Winter season. Situated at a distance of 21 km from Champawat with at an elevation 2019 mts above the sea level. Abbott mount is far from Hustal and Bustal of the city and there are 13 cottages spread over this small hill. It is offered the view of the snow kissed peak of Himalayan.
Almora: Located at a height of 5400 ft above the sea level and situated at a distance of 131 km from Champawat. Mukteshwar: Mukteshwar is a small town and got its name from 350 year old Temple Mukteshwar Dham. situated just about 119 km from Champawat set at an elevation of 2285 mts above the sea level. Mukteshwar temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The top of the hill where the temple is located offered the amazing viwes of Himalayan Range.
Purnagiri Temple: Purnagiri Temple is one of the 108 siddha peeths and to reach the temple one must compleate a trek of 3 km from Tunyas. situated at a distance of 21 km from Tanakpur. Body part of Goddess Sati was fall down here and known as the "Shakti peeths". The shakti peetha is received thousand of Devotees during Navratras.
