Chamba is a small hill town of Uttarakhand State and located in Tehri Garhwal district. Is about 50km from Mussoorie With at an altitude of 1676 meters above the sea level.

New Tehri: The district headquarters of Tehri Garhwal is 11 km from Chamba and a new model town adjoining one of the biggest dams in the hills. Tehri Dam: Situated at a distance of 16 km from Chamba with at an elevation of 1700 mts above the sea level. Tehri is a artifical dam and water from the Bhairathi River and Bhilangana River was diverted to fill the dam reservoir. Surkanda Devi Temple: Situated at a distance of 24 km from Chamba and 40 km from Mussoorie. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Surkunda Devi and known as the one of the 51th Shakti Peeth. It is located at an elevation of 2700 meters above the sea level.
Gabar Singh Memorial: Located in chamba and was built in the year 1925 by Gabar Singh Negi. Gabar singh Menorial is erected at Shaheed Athal. The brave Soldiers was the recipient of Victoria cross and served as a rifleman in the famous Gharwal Rifles in 1913.

It is on the way to Mussoorie and cahamba with an altitude of 2,250 m above the sea level and the destination is surrounded by thick forest of Deodars, Rhododendrons and Oaks. Kanatal: It is located at an elevation of 8500 above the sea level and situated at 38 km from Mussoorie, 12 km from Chamba, 78 km from Dehradun and about 300 km from Delhi. The temprature of Kanatal is around 10 to 20 degree in summer. Due to its cool climate it makes a popular destination among the tourists and snowfall make it is an ideal place for camping. Kanatal lies on the way of Mussoorie and Chamba road. The Surkanda Devi temple is the main attraction in Kanatal and located only 10 km from Kanatal.
Rishikesh: Situated at a distance of 60 km from Chamba and a very popular city for water rafting and camping on the beach of Ganga. Famous for as a holiest city and home of many religious temple and ashrams.
Narendra Nagar: It is popular for main two reason first is near by Rishikesh and second is situated on the Ganga and Yamuna route. Narendra Nagar is situated at a distance of 16 km from Rishikesh, and 44 km from Chamba with at an elevation of 1322 mts above the sea level.
