Almora is a hill station of Uttarakhand state and located in the Kumaon region. Almora is known as the cultural capital of Kumaon. The hill station is situated at an average elevation of 1638 metres above the sea level. Almora is a hill area like Nainital and Shimla and developed by the Kumaoni people. The place is surrounded by the thick forest of fir and pine trees. Almora is also known the town of temples. It is famous for 13th century temples. Winter season: November is the beginning month of winter to till the month of february. During the Winter season December and January is the freezing months. Winter is extremely cool and the tempreature fall down as low as -3 degree.
Summer season: The Summer season starts from April to till the month of July. During the summer season the minimum temperature is 12 degree and maximum temprature is rise up to 28 degree. Days are quite hot but nights are relaxing and cool in Almora.
Monsoon season: Rainfall starts from August and upto October. The rain makes almora beautiful and attractive with greenery. March to june is the goodtime for outing in Almora.
Binsar wildlife sanctuary: The place established as a forest reserve in 1988 with an altitude of 900 to 2500 metres. The forest has special type of oak tree and resident of 200 species of birds.
Kasar devi temple: This temple is one of the most popular temple in Almora and dedicated to Goddess of Kasar Devi. The devotees that visit the temple during special annual festival. The temple become famous after Swami Vivekanand visited the place.
Katarmal Sun Temple: This is the second famous temple in Almora and located about 7 km away from the city. This temple is 800 year old and bulit by the Katyuri Kings.
Martola: Martola is a popular tourist destination. It is famous for its gardens and picturesque location. It is situated at a distance of 10 km from Almora.
Kalimut: This place is famous for a picnic spot which is located 3 km away from the Almora. Kalimat heaving a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali.

Katarmal Sun Temple: This temple is second most important temple of God Sun in India and first is Konark in Orissa. It is believed that this temple is oldest about 800 year located in Almora. It is situated at a distance of 7 km from Almora.
Markets Of Almora: Lala Bazaar, Malli Bazaar, Karkhana bazaar and Thana Bazaar are the main markets of Almora. You can get all necessery thing here.
Binsar: Binsar is a small town and located at a dsitance of 31 km from Almra. Bineshwar Temple is the major attraction of Binsar and the temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is situated at an elevation of 2412 meters above the sea level. This temple is built by king Kalyan of the chand Dynasty.
Someshwar: Someshwar is located at a distance of 35 km from Almora. Someshwar temple is most popular in Shomeshwar village and gets its name from temple. This temple is built by Raja Som Chand.
Ranikhet: Ranikhet is a beautiful town and known as the "Queen's Meadow" or "Queen's Field". Ranikhet is a beautiful hill station located in Almora District. It is home of Kumaon and Naga Regiment of Indian Army. It is situated at a distance of 46 km from Almora with at an elevation of 1896 meters above the sea level.

Mukteshwar: Mukteshwar Village got its name from Mukteshwar Dham. Mukteshwar Dham is a oldest Temple about 300 year of Lord Shiva. It is situated at a distance of 76 km from Almora. This temple is located on the top of the hill.
