A lateral glacier is a Khatling Glacier, bubbles out the River Bhilangana from the centre of Khatling Glacier. From the Bhilangana Valley to Kedarnath and the Mandakini Valley you take and the Mayali pass is a high pass of over 5000 meters. To trek from the holy Shrine of Gangotri to the holy Shrine of Kedarnath- 2 it falls on the legendary trek route of the most coveted pilgrimage destinations for Hindus. From the village of Ghuttu the Mayali Pass trek can also be approved, near Uttarkashi. Actually the source of river Bhilangana is Khatling Glacier.Sahasratal are situated on the west and Masartal on the east respectively.
From Kharsoli a side excursion can be added to Sahastra Tal. From beyond Chowki the Mayali Pass trek really revels itself where the terrain gets rougher. From Bhilangana Valley this trek is start and at Kedarnath Valley this trek is ends. At the source of Bhilangana River, lateral glacier is the Khatling Glacier. On the route of the trek the last village is Gangi. You will find the beauty to be even more excavating your imaginations after you reach the destination. From Ghuttu, Khatling Glacier is starts to reaching to Reeh Chhani and other small villages. Between May to Oct is the good time to plan a travel on this trek. The meadow on this trek is on full bloom in the season of Monsoon with a numerous color of wild flowers.
