Khatling Glacier Masartal Trekking

A lateral glacier is a Khatling Glacier, bubbles out the River Bhilangana from the centre of Khatling Glacier. From the Bhilangana Valley to Kedarnath and the Mandakini Valley you take and the Mayali pass is a high pass of over 5000 meters. To trek from the holy Shrine of Gangotri to the holy Shrine of Kedarnath- 2 it falls on the legendary trek route of the most coveted pilgrimage destinations for Hindus. From the village of Ghuttu the Mayali Pass trek can also be approved, near Uttarkashi. Actually the source of river Bhilangana is Khatling Glacier. Sahasratal are situated on the west and Masartal on the east respectively. From Kharsoli a side excursion can be added to Sahastra Tal.

From beyond Chowki the Mayali Pass trek really revels itself where the terrain gets rougher. Thin layer of ice on this type of terrain- snow and most importantly having a safe step and can make things really tricky. The holy shrine of Kedarnath the trek eases out comparatively to get us from Vasuki Tal. Masar Tal and Vasuki Tal are the twin holy lakes will leave you silent and peaceful. Too boulder- laiden and eases out gradually is this terrain.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01 : Rishikesh, Garhwal Himalayas India
Arrive Rishikesh. Meet Himalayan Trekker representative. Trek starts. Dinner & overnight in Rishikesh.

Day 02 : Uttarkashi
Drive to Uttarkashi 155 kms. Hot lunch en route. Dinner & overnight in Uttarakashi.

Day 03 : Malla
On day 3, we trek for 25 kms to reach Malla. Further 9 kms trek Silla Chhan with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 04 : Kushkalayani
11 kms trek to Kushkalayani with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 05 : Kyarki
On day 5 trek, we undertake a walk of 14 kms to reach Kyarki with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 06 : Parital
14 kms trek to Parital with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in Camp

Day 07 : Bhimtal
12 kms trek to Bhimtal/ Taddiudyar via Sahasratal with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 08 : Kalyani
16 kms trek to Kalyani with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in Kalyani.

Day 09 : Kharsoli
On day 9 of Khatling Glacier Trek, we undertake a 11-km trek to Kharsoli with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 10 : Chowki
12 kms trek to Chowki with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 11 : Khatling Glacier
6 kms trek to Khatling Glacier with packed lunch. In the afternoon, return trek to Chowki. Dinner & overnight in camp at Khatling Glacier.

Day 12 : Masartal
9 kms trek to Masartal with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 13 : Vasukital
15 kms trek to Vasukital vai Mayali Pass (5400mts) Panyatal and Teental with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in camp.

Day 14 : Kedarnath
On day 14, we trek for 8 kms to reach Kedarnath with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight Kedarnath.

Day 15 : Gaurikund
15 kms to Gaurikund with packed lunch. Dinner & overnight in Gaurikund.

Day 16 : Rishikesh, Garhwal Himalayas India
215 kms drive to Rishikesh. Hot lunch en route. Arrive Rishikesh. Khatling Glacier Trek concludes.
