Panchachuli Glacier Trek

A popular attraction is Panchachuli Peak and at the end of the eastern Kumaon region it is one of the giant snow capped Himalayan peaks. The trekking route across Sobla, Dharchula, Balling, Tawaghat, Duktu, Sela and Dhar beginning from Almora and then concludes at Panchachuli. This glacier is lying on the lap of Kumaon Himalayan range in the Darma Valley close the Nepal and Tibet border the outstanding beauty of an area. The trek is blossom with an impressive combination of enthralling scenery to the glacier, rich variety of fauna & flora, gushing streams, snow capped mountains and Alpine meadows.

The trail cross the tribal villages of Nagling, Bungling, Sela, Baaling and thick forest of Bhojpatra, Deodar, conifer and Duktu along the Dhauliganga River and a pleasant walk is Dar to Panchachuli Glacier. A 40 km trek to Panchachuli Glacier from Sobla which then cross the tribal villages of Sela, Baaling, Nagling, Dar, Duktu and Bungling / finally before reaching at Panchachuli Glacier, Dantu Village in the Darma Valley. It is situated in Eastern Kumaon Himalaya, between the Darma valley and Gori Ganga is the trekking route forms the watershed.

By Road: The nearest road head is Dharchula is well connected by other major cities such as Almora, Nainital, Haldwani , Bageshwar, Kathgodam, Munsiyari of Kumaon Himalaya.
By Train: The nearest railway station is Kathgodam in Nainital at 265 km from Dharchula. This station is well connected to major cities of India.
By Air: From Dharchula the nearest airport is Pantnagar airport at 280 km it is well connected with Delhi.
