Namik Glacier Trek

Namik Glacier trek is located at an altitude of 3,600 m on the Kumaon Himalayas in the Pithoragarh district of Uttrakhand. The most nostalgic place is Namik Glacier in the world surrounded by the major peaks such as Nanda Kot, Trishul and Nanda Devi. The trekking way to Namik Glacier is lot of engaging. “A place where saline water springs are present” is the meaning of Namik Glacier. The trek passes cross pristine villages with an ancient temples and strong local culture.

From the Indo Tibetan trade route, these villages are rich in heritage and specially the two villages of Namik and Gogina. The presence number of Sulphur springs and waterfalls originating around this glacier is the most renovating attraction of an area.One gets encountered with high altitude vegetation during the trek petite and huge torrents. From Munsiyari on the route to Namik glacier 7 km trek to Senar Gad Meadows you can enjoy an awesome view of Panchachuli range.

Another 9 km trekking is required to reach to Hiramani Glacier from Sudhamkhan and to final destination of Namik Glacier trek is 5 km from there. The trekkers are actually amidst the heart of the Himalayan wilderness surrounded by the greatest peaks while trekking around the Namik Glacier. Namik is about 40 km from the tehsil place of Musiyari. The beginning point of the trek is Munsiyari.

Namik Glacier Trek Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Kathgodam – Chaukori:
Drive to Chaukori crossing the pleasant Kumaon in the morning countryside including the Almora Township. By evening arrival at Chaukori which is popular for tea garden and amazing view of snow covered Himalayas. Stay overnight in hotel.

Day 02: Chaukori – Munsiyari:
We will drive to Munsiyari after morning breakfast. During trekking, the panoramic view of the Panchachuli range is enough to below your mind. It is considered by many as one of the most beautiful spot in Kumaon. Stay overnight in hotels.

Day 03: Munsiyari – Senar Gad Meadows:
We will trek up to Senar Gad Meadows from Munsiyari after breakfast. Stay overnight in tents.

Day 04: Senar Gad Meadows – Dhaldauk:
Trek to Dhaldauk after breakfast in the morning. A famous trail with the commands and shepherds even more scenic view of the Panchachuli hills and it’s an easy walk cross a rarely trekked route. Stay overnight in tent.

Day 05: Dhaldauk – Sudamkhan:
From Dhaldauk after breakfast trek up to Sudamkhan the views are unforgettable. Stay overnight in tent.

Day 06: Sudamkhan – Hiramani Glacier:
We start our trek to Hiramani Glacier after breakfast. Stay overnight near the glacier and enjoy the majestic view of the glacier.

Day 07: Hiramani Glacier – Namik Glacier – Sudamkhan:
In the morning we will start our trek up to Namik Glacier with Nanda Kot really close up and then return to Sudamkhan. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day 08: Sudamkhan – Namik Village:
We will start our trek towards Namik village after breakfast and down to Bhotia village the fairly simple trek. In the region one of the centers for the Indo - Tibetan trade route was Namik. The houses have lots of traditions formation and plenty of woodcarvings. Stay overnight in tent in the midst of Namik Village.

Day 09: Namik Glacier – Gogina:
We will trek towards Gogina village after breakfast. It is situated in the heart of Ramganga Village at the foot of Nanda kot with traditional houses. In the charming location you will passes through with shepherds. Visit to Kimu village on the route. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day 10: Gogina – Liti:
We will start our trek to Liti after breakfast. A straight road to Liti, drive down the Ramganga Valley. Stay overnight at the camp.

Day 11: Liti – Bageshwar – Kathgodam:
From here drive to Kathgodam in the morning. Your tour and our service is end here with great memories.
