An important glacier of Yamuna river basin is Bandarpunch Glacier in the Gharwal division of the Himalayas. It is 12 km long situated on the Northern slopes of Bandarpunch West, Khatling peak and Bandarpunch peak the glacier is formed by three cirque glaciers and then join the river of Yamuna. The awesome spread of Bandarpunch due to the glacier offers excellent trekking chances. Trek to Bandarpunch usually gets covered with freshly bloomed flowers making the trek more picturesque, during this time. “Tail of the monkey” is the literally meaning of Bandarpunch. It is situated just under the snout of glacier campsite from Osla Ruinsiara Tal.
According to the story of mythical, this story is linked to Hanuman, the Lord Shiva embodiment in the form of Monkey to provision Lord Vishnu to war with Ravana while he was born as the child of Dashratha who was the king of Ayaodhya state run in Treta Yuga, throughout the time of Ramayana. There is a second linked story of Pandava Bheema in the Hindu divine to Hanuman epic Mahabharata shaped throughout the Yuga of Dwapar. Lord Shiva came on earth in the shape of Monkey to the test the strength of Bheem and from Hanuman Chatti sat leisurely spreading his trail to Bandarpunch.
From Sukhi the trek is starts to base camp, going up to Gangotri which lies on the road. From here a pretty two days hike is the base camp. Before attempting summit above base camp we sat up two alpine camps. In the months of May and June the Bandarpuch snow clad glacier offers exhilarating trekking chances to the adventure. In Uttarakhand, the trek route to Bandarpunch Glacier across Taluka, Sankri Saur, Osia and finally Ruinsara Tal.

DAY 1: Delhi – Dehradun:
Drive to Dehradun in the morning. Check in to hotel after on arrive Dehradun. You can visit the local market of Dehradun in the evening. Stay overnight at hotel.
DAY 2: Dehradun – Taluka:
Journey begin to Taluka after breakfast. There are many tourist places come on the trek such as Kempty Falls, Purola, Mori and Mussoorie. Check in to hotel after arrive Taluka.
DAY 3: Taluka – Osla:
Trek start to Osla in the morning. Many kind of tree such as Walnut, Willows and Chestnut come in this trek. You can enjoy the natural beauty in the route. Stay overnight in tent.
DAY 4: Osla – Bandarpunch:
Begin the trek to Bandarpunch after breakfast. Many village are come in the route, villager’s life style is same as old. Stay overnight in tents.
DAY 5: Bandarpunch:
For view the area day is free. For taking photographs this place is very suitable. Stay overnight in tents.
DAY 6: Osla – Taluka – Dehradun:
Trek return to Taluka an early morning. Drive to Dehradun after lunch. Stay overnight in tents.
DAY 7: Dehradun – Delhi:
From Dehradun drive back to Delhi an early morning. Your trek and our service is end here with great memories.
From Dehradun the Glacier is recheABLE by bus to Sankri Saur and from Sankri Saur by jeep to Talukam (11 km), then 14 km Osia. By road from Dehradun to Taluka is 207 km.
